Don't worry, friends! The skinny jean era is still around, but if you haven't hopped on the cropped jeans train...choo choo, you should! There are endless options especially with a neutral colored jean like the camel color pictured in the blog post.
The general rule when it comes to bottoms has been...skinny bottoms/flowy top OR wider bottoms/fitted top. I would say this rule is still generally true, however, there should be structure in some way in each outfit. Let's chat about the three styled outfits in the photo and how we brought some structure to the outfit, plus shoe choice to complete the cropped look.
Outfit 1: Mittoshop navy/tan plaid button down with Judy Blue Camel Cropped Jeans (Tummy Control)-The top in the first picture is a boxy fit and can be front tucked into the jeans for a more structured feel. Curvy girls, just DO IT! Front tucks can be intimidating, but with these tummy control jeans you'll feel snatched and can structure your outfit for the perfect look with a small front tuck.
Outfit 2: Jodifl ivory cowl neck sweater with same Judy Blue Camel Cropped Jeans-A chunky sweater is always a fall/winter must (10/10 recommend a hat with this outfit too). This ivory sweater paired with the camel colored jeans brings a beautiful neutral combo to your fall wardrobe. The cowl neck, the wide sleeve, and wide body of the sweater also needs some structure so front tuck this one as well to complete the look.
Outfit 3: Oddi Brick Floral Top with same Judy Blue Camel Cropped Jeans-This top has a flowy peplum bottom which seems to break the rules on styling with the cropped jeans. This top offers structure under the bust and in the shoulders which brings structure to the whole outfit. The seam under the bust has a slimming factor and the ruched sleeves bring some extra drama to the look. No need to front tuck this cutie. She has all the right details.
